One of my goals, and one of the reasons I’m using Patreon to share The Princess and the Dragon and Other Stories About Unlikely Heroes with readers, is that I want to commission artwork from as many independent illustrators and artists as possible. I will add to this blog as I commission new pieces!

‘Amelia and the Dragon’ by Tatchiana Michaela

I’ve known Tatchiana since we were at school. Based in Bristol, she’s a mixed media portrait artist with a degree in archaeology (I mix with some very high brow people). I commissioned her to illustrate anything she liked from the book and she chose one of my favourite scenes: Amelia and the dragon.

My art

Okay so I’m tooting my own horn for a tick because I love making mockups of newspapers and other pieces of book-related art. So feast your eyeballs…
