Francesca's Words

Hi! Francesca Astraea here. I live in Southend-on-Sea, Essex, although I spend a lot of my time in a different city, working on my bachelor’s degree. I’m not going tell you which city (or which degree!) because I have a huge amount of fun pretending to be a International Woman of Mystery. The operative word there is pretending.

Anyway, I write books and stories you might have heard of, like The Princess and the Dragon and Other Stories About Unlikely Heroes or the Bezzina’s short stories. I’m the founder and Managing Director of The Do Something Directory, and I sometimes share my thoughts on my blog. You might also know me from my Etsy or Folksy shops – I used to run a nerdy little stationery business. It’s mostly retired these days, but keep your eyes out for the odd bit of stationery, especially around the holiday seasons!
