About Francesca Astraea

Hello and welcome to the digital arm of Francesca HQ.

I spend my physical time in Southend-on-Sea, Essex and Bath, Somerset, and my emotional time deep in a book. I can recommend doing that, especially if the book you escape into is one I wrote.

If you’d like to work with me, just get in touch via francescaswords (at) outlook (dot) com. I’m available for book signings and author events, to which I will wear a lot of black, and I offer editorial consultancy to help polish your manuscript into its very best self.

My formal credentials: I have a BA(hons) in Religions, Philosophy and Ethics from Bath Spa University and am partway through a Masters in Scriptwriting. I’m also a student member of the Society of Authors. Please note I do not use generative artificial intelligence in my work and I do not give permission for my work to be used to train generative AI programmes. Why? Because I don’t fancy outsourcing my thought process to a computer system, especially not since big tech seems to be owned mostly by sociopaths on a power trip.

You can find me via my newsletter or hang out with me at the No. 1 Readers’ Club on Patreon, where I share my work before it’s available publicly. I’m sporadically on Bluesky, Instagram, Facebook and Tumblr. My Twitter is no longer active.

    1. Hi Jane! Do you mean the An Evening with a Marketing Consultant: Introduction to Social Media event at Events@Studio8? Booking is through Lorraine at Events@Studio8 – please email eventsatstudio8@gmail.com and she will take care of the rest, I’m not handling booking at all. If you have any questions about the evening itself, email me. Thanks! Francesca
