Francesca's Words

Hi! Francesca Astraea here. I live between Southend-on-Sea, Essex and Bath, Somerset, and I’ve been a professional writer in some capacity since circa 2014, mostly writing YA and contemporary fantasy.

I write books and stories like The Princess and the Dragon and Other Stories About Unlikely Heroes, Rotting Trees or the Bezzina’s short stories. I sometimes share my thoughts on my blog. You might know me from my Folksy shop, which has book merch and funny, sarcastic stationery. I also offer sensitivity reading, manuscript appraisal and marketing consultancy.

My formal credentials: I have a BA(hons) in Religions, Philosophy and Ethics from Bath Spa University and am partway through a Masters in Scriptwriting. I’m also a member of the Society of Authors.
